What is rhythm?
Pitch is how high or low a sound is. On a piano, pitch is the key you press. In your voice, pitch is whether you sing higher or lower.
Rhythm is when sounds happen in time. Does a note last for one beat or two beats? Do the sounds come slowly or quickly?
Pitch and rhythm are two ideas that together make up all of music. But here is the surprising part: in a way, they are the same thing, at different speeds. When a rhythm gets faster and faster, it can start to sound like a pitch. It's like magic!
